FLAG 2019 February Update

There are only 5 more weeks until FLAG 2019 starts on April 4 in Orlando. Much has been accomplished but so much still needs to be done.

So far we have 170+ people registered, from 25 countries. We are praying for 250 people from at least 25 countries. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so. Don’t wait until the last minute.

We have updated our speaker list and added some new presenters.

Tehmina Arora from India will be speaking on Religious Freedom. She is a lawyer practicing in the area of constitutional law and human rights with a special emphasis on the rights of religious minorities. Based in New Delhi, India, Arora serves as legal consultant for ADF International and Senior Fellow, South and Southeast Asia Action Team for the Religious Freedom Institute. In 2018, Arora was awarded the Champion of Human Rights Award by the Delhi Minority Commission for her services to the community.

Col (Ret) Daryl & Lt Col (Ret) Martha Jones are both 1982 graduates of the United States Air Force Academy and have completed very distinguished 20 plus-year military flying careers. They joined the staff of Cru / Campus Crusade for Christ in 2003. As International Directors, Daryl and Martha’s efforts are directed toward ministry support and strategy development for foreign militaries and nations to help with spiritual movements around the world. Driven by a deep desire to fulfill the Great Commission worldwide, they cultivate strong international relationships, while cheering on and providing support for indigenous leaders to share the gospel with the uniformed personnel in their nations. They will lead the track for law enforcers - including local and national police and military forces.

Barbara Chan is giving a case study on Christian Ethics. Barbara came to Christ in London when studying for her final solicitor’s qualifying examination. Shortly after working as a solicitor in London she was called to attend missionary training in England. At the end of the training, the Lord called her clearly to return to Hong Kong to serve Him through Law. Barbara first served in the Legal Aid Department of Hong Kong then in the Judiciary where she presided as District Court Judge and also various periods as Deputy Registrar of the High Court. During this time she established a judges’ fellowship in the District Court. She currently serves as a member of the Torture Claimants Appeal Board Hong Kong. Barbara is also an Executive Director of Harvest Evangelism Hong Kong, is part of the Global and Local Transform Our World Movement leading the Global Prayer Presbytery of the Movement and the city-wide transformation movement in Hong Kong.
