Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and then . . . #GivingTuesday!
Do you know any law students? Would they like to participate in a global conference on how their faith should impact their future law practice? Probably they don’t have the money to go.
What about judges in the Dem. Rep. of the Congo who are fighting corruption? Lawyers in India who represent Christians who suffer religious persecution? They don’t have the funds either. Nor do many other legal professionals in developing nations.
But you can help!
This year we are participating in #GivingTuesday for the purpose of raising funds for scholarships to the Fourth Global Convocation of Faith and Law Around the Globe to be held in Orlando, Florida, April 4-8, 2019.
Our hashtag is #GivingFLAGscholarships and the campaign will run through December 31, 2018 (although you can certainly give after that!). Some generous donors have offered $20,000 in matching funds so your dollars will have double the impact.
Our goal is to raise $85,000!
We’ll keep you posted on our progress and share stories on our Facebook page. Why don’t you “like” us while you are there.
Here are some ways you can help:
Give now! Go to our FLAG 2019 giving page and choose whether you want to give to lawyers, law students, law professors, judges, law makers or law enforcement.
Sponsor an event at FLAG 2019. This will reduce our overall costs and make more funds available for scholarships, and you get some publicity too! Go to the Sponsors & Exhibitors page.
Share the hashtag #GivingFLAGscholarships and giving link https://give.cru.org/2842545 in your social media accounts.
Come to the conference and bring your friends, family. and colleagues.
